Pastwardmen, 2020, installation, ready made elements 180 x 150 x 40 cm

The object is a loose composition of accumulated objects collected from the artist’s family home. With her Baroque, overblown composition, Dzikowska presents artefacts to which people give an exceptional value, and create personal stories related to them — at the same time elevating them to the status of an almost private sacrum. She clashes it with the transitory character of aesthetics, thus implying a specific hybrid of transience and temporality.
